Was a good day.. went to the clinic to say goodbye to everyone.. Dr. Cundari gave me the Certificate and a Recommendation letter from himself.
i took it and went back to the clinic. After the clinic i went out to dinner with few students. To a vietnamese restaurant. eating with Chopsticks
. i suddenly found myself surrounded with a table of an international interesting bunch of people.. for everyone of them an interesting story.. you will love it as i did..
Here we go..
1- Rasoul, you know about him if you read my posts.. he is my very interesting friend i met here.. brought up in Iran, three years in England and finally here in the states.. He and his brother are the closest persons to me here in this trip..
2- Pajman, an Irani guy.. 39 years old .. although he is a first year medical student, he is an engineer! yes.. he works for a company that synthesizes production lines for semi-conductor chips. in other words, he makes machines that makes computers! His company customers are IBM and others.. He is happy with engineering..He could travel around the world .. he is studying medicine because it will enable him to do volunteer medicine work around the world.. something that can add more value to his life..
3- Christine, an American vietnamese girl, i dont know how old she is.. but she is in the first year too.. she just came from from Egypt where she studied ( qanoon ) the musical instrument.. she spent there two years studying qanoon!.. she studies medicine now because she has a chronic back pain problem.. and the school that i am in now ( western University ) does OMM which is basically “massage” they use mechanical procedures on the body to help it heal itself.. anyways, she uses it to help herself.
4- Soliman, he is 36 years old.. also in the first year.. he is a biochemist. stopped working as a biochemist, travelled around the world and now started to study medicine!.. his father is a doctor..
5- Tangel, an american Taiwanese medical student.. i don’t know anything about her.. first time to meet her and we didnt talk a lot .. but as Pajman says, she is Tangel, Taiwanese Angel
6- Yaseen, half yemeni half irani .. he is studying medicine here while his parents live in canada.. he speaks some arabic..
7- Dave, and this one is very interesting.. he is 49 years old.. he is studying to be physician assistant… almost a doctor but cant write prescriptions.. he is in the first year too.. he used to drink alcohol.. use drugs.. then he was hit by a car or something.. the car driver i guess was working in Saudi Arabia. Dave now has a permanent disability in his right leg. After going to the court, he sued the driver, the sentenced him with 2 million dollars fine.. the man ran to Saudi Arabia and didn’t pay anything.. so Dave came to study medicine again.. to Help himself!!
So far, people study medicine for various reasons.. different interesting stories.. i loved them all and they inspire me to answer some questions .. or at least address myself with those questions..
What are you doing? Why are you doing this? Do you really want to do this? and do you want to do this now?
day after day, i am getting closer to my goal.. may Allah help all of us to reach our dreams.. Stop doing things you don’t like.. as long as you have the choice.. and if you don’t .. then find something else to do in parallel to what you are doing.. Pajman is a medical student.. but he is still an engineer too.. he still has his job.. let him inspire you.. and me!
Tomorrow isA, Dr. Musherraf is taking me out to lunch.. she is really an interesting person. On Friday, i will go with Mimi to CalState Fullerton. I hope i will get the chance to meet some of the engineering school professors and the extended international education advisor. That should be something..
Thank you for reading brothers and sisters..

Adham u r really getting us out of our usuals.
but do u think these differences between us and those people are resulting from individual differences or it's a cultural differences. we didn't learn this in our culture, we are experiencing a “sticky” culture not “changing” one. as soon as we get used to do something, we become afraid of changing it or starting over again in something else.
u have all the right in raising these questions, let's try to change ourselves, to look inside our desires and do something. and “it's never too late to start again”.
i wish u all the best. and enjoy ur experiences
salam ya adham

For sorry,we don't control of our live as it should to be.
alittle bet of us do what they realy want to do and know that they 'll be happy.
we're raised up without alot of life bases that we do our best to gain it now and hope to apply it with our children later on ISA.
sure, there are other causes related and not related to us i don't deny.
so that we try
thank you very much drAdham for sharing and these important things.
