من أدهم..عن أي شيء

Everything has become so quick. So quick that we barely live it, we barely focus and we hardly remember anything. The events in a single day are more than the events in one’s week years ago. Comings and goings. Heres and theres. It all flashes before your eye throughout the day.. Then you realize that your day is over. Laying down on your bed trying to close your eyes, you remember tons of events in that single day. How many moments did i really live today?

Hash, marijuana, some slow music, or not sleeping for days.. slow down your mental processing.. watching people in crowded places with quick paces.. these sometimes give me some moments of clarity.. some time to clearly see life… or at least detach from my daily scenario.

It is the feast now.. and it is the day Islam forces everything here to stop. Work must stop. Study must stop.. everything must stop.. and everyone shall be happy..

Please.. put on some new cloths.. this is what Muhammed did.. Start your feast early in the morning.. by going to pray..

In your way.. you should give some of those in need.. you should greet everyone.. either you know him or not.. you are all brothers..

you should smile and be happy.. you should give money and candy to the kids.. you should visit your family.. you should spend nice times with the people you love..

it is time when life stops to begin again.. it is the “Time out” of the game.. where you stop stressing and experience some joy..

Today, i will enjoy looking at the kids’ faces.. get inspired by how much hope they have.. how easily they can live happiness.. and how they get satisfied with the tiniest thing..

I will put new clothes.. shave.. and wear my best perfume.. Today i am under focus.. i know everybody is.. and this is the beauty of it.

Ramadan is gone, prayers, fasting and all the good deeds shall remain.. should have affected us.. should have made us more understanding of hunger.. of pain.. of seeing things and not being able to get them.. and thus we “must” share our joy with the poors.. we must spread happiness when it is the feast.. this is why it is a duty for every capable Muslim to give away today..

Today.. I would like to thank all the people in my life.. “Happy Eid” is not enough for me.. i would love to hug you all..

May Allah bless your days and accept all your good deeds in Ramadan..
